Upcoming Events in Baltimore for January 2016

Baltimore is a hip happening area of the country where there is always something going on. This is especially true if you live in the Federal Hill area. As one of the oldest and most progressive areas of Baltimore you are going to find a hearty art scene, lots of fine dining with innovative dishes that delight, and more shopping that will tickle your buying bug. There are some upcoming Baltimore events for January that you should be aware of, so mark your calendar now so you don’t miss a thing.

Baltimore New Years Eve Spectacular Dec 31- Jan 1 at the Inner Harbour : This family friendly event has live music, food, and of course a large fireworks display at the stroke of midnight to ring in the new year. The Pandora Ice Rink is also opened until 12:30 am that night for a little nighttime skating fun.

Four New Art Exhibitions: At the Creative Alliance at The Patterson called “Dwell” and “Thea Osato The Common Nerve.” Plus, the Baltimore Museum of Art has new exhibits called “Imagining Home” and art quilts on display.

Winter Break Festival: Great for the kids, this takes place at the Port Discovery Children’s Museum until January 3rd.

Wine Down Wednesday: At the Kona Grill restaurant on 1 e Pratt Street, every Wednesday they offer half price bottles of wine so it’s the perfect place to sample some vino, and tasty small plate fare.

Tony and Tina’s Wedding: At the Grand Theater on North Charles Street, this show is a roaring good time of song and family drama from the 13-24th of January, 2016.

Military and First Responder Appreciation Day: This takes place at the Horseshoe Casino on January 3rd. There are extra drink specials and activities for those that protect our nation.

Train Rides: B&O Railroad Museum is another fun place to take the kids for a riding adventure they will enjoy.

Deviant Dance Party: At the Baltimore Soundstage is an activity for the adult crowd only. It’s an electronic dance party on January 9th that goes practically all night long. Drink specials at the top shelf luxury bar make this people watching event a must see if you dare.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Parade: This takes place on January 18 and runs down Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Eutaw Streets. It’s the 15th year this event has been part of celebrating this great leader’s life.
