Baltimore Symphony Orchestra: All About Sports
No, there is no mistake. Music and sports do meld perfectly in this playful, inspiring look at America’s favorite sports, conducted by Ken Lam. Baseball, racing, biking, swimming and more are showcased in the music, along with iconic spots heroes who have become household names.
Pre-concert activities include interactive activities sure to please every member of the family. All About Sports pre-concert activities start at 9:45 AM, with the symphony beginning at 11:00 AM at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall on February 6, 2016

Catch Some Jazz – Peabody Jazz Combo Series
Take the chill off a February evening with the warmth and headiness of some really great jazz performed by talented local artists. Enjoy it your way, either with a live concert setting or while sipping a coffee and listening via HiFi feed at a popular local coffee house. Admission is $5.00 and the jazz happens on February 17th, between the hours of 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM at the Peabody Institute’s Cohen-Davison Family Theatre.
Enjoy the Sweetness of Nature in Baltimore
If you love maple syrup, the last two weekends in February will let you enjoy this sweet treat in a brand new way when you take advantage of Maple Sugaring Weekends at Oregon Ridge. Enjoy a beautiful hike to a grove of sugar maples where you will see how the trees are tapped and the sap is gathered. Then, spend an enjoyable time watching the syrup boil down and become maple syrup and sugar, as well as many other interesting (and tasty) demos. No registration is necessary for this family-friendly event. Open weekends on both February 20, 2016 and February 28th, 2016, between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM at Oregon ridge Nature Center.
